This is an orphan cup from a British royal memorablilia cup and saucer that didn't survive the trip home from England.

The teacup was made for the state visit of King George VI and Elizabeth, parents of Queen Elizabeth II of England in 1939 to Canada by an unknown maker.

The cup measures 2.5 inches high by 3.25 inches in diameter and has sepia drawings of the king and queen with flags and symbols on the front, the Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret on the back and gold trim.

The cup is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks and very minor wear to the gold trim.

A shipment of cups and saucers from England arrived damaged, and this is one of them. Sigh...
