Victorian Era Stamp Case Chatelaine Hallmarked Sterling Silver Watch Fob 1890s
This is an antique marked sterling silver stamp case from a chatelaine or for use as a pocket watch fob.
The stamp case was made in the USA in 1880-1900 and has a pretty lobed repousse design, central foliage cartouche with an monogram gothic H on one side, hinged lid and hanging ring.
The stamp case measures .25 deep by 1.65 inches high by 1.25 inches wide and has a good tight hinge.
The sterling silver stamp case or holder is marked Sterling but the maker's mark is illegible.
The antique chatelaine stamp case weighs 6.4 grams of silver. So neat!
