This is an English silver plate sugar sifting spoon. Sugar sifting spoons were essential for the proper tea table setting. It was a needed at the Victorian tea table to sift pounded sugar onto muffins, crumpets or pancakes. Although the handle seems plain (an older style) the bowl is scalloped and ornately detailed and the sifting holes are paisley shaped! Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $7.60.
