This is a wonderful handled cake or sandwich plate in Chelsea or Grandmother's Ware made in Staffordshire England around 1850. It is unmarked but is a wonderful example of that type of ironstone. It measures 11.25 inches by 8.25 inches and is in wonderful condition except for a small manufacturers flaw on the back rim. It is really a beautiful piece of early victorian work.
