This is a fabulous biscuit jar or biscuit barrel made by Wedgwood, England in 1896. It is of dark blue dip with classical figures and silverplated fittings. The biscuit jar measures 5.5 inches in diameter by 6.5 inches high. The warks are WEDGWOOD & ENGLAND. The England mark like this ceased to be used in 1906. The jasper barrel in in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restorations & I could only see 2 tiny little old flaws in the applied decorations. The frame top rim has a dent which can probably be popped out, but no damage to the jasperware barrel. A lovely piece and priced low to reflect the dent. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $20.35.
