This is a great blue over white jasper biscuit jar or cracker jar with silver plated lid, handle & fittings. It is unmarked and although obviously a late Victorian piece probably dating from 1890-1910 is not by Wedgwood or Adams. The work is not as fine or detailed as those potteries. There is a bit of dripping of the blue and the classical figures are not as detailed. Still it is a very good period piece with no damage. It measures 5 inches in diameter and 5 inches high without the handle. There is a small spider flaw on the bottom but it is superficial and doesn't go through to the inside of the jar. A great victorian decorative piece at an affordable price. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $21.15.
