This is an old stoneware brown transferware biscuit jar or cracker jar that was made in England by W.T. Copeland & Sons, Stoke On Trent. The mark on the biscuit jar dates it to 1847-1891. It is in very good condition for it's age with no chips or cracks. The line visible in the close-up is a line in the transfer--not a crack! The jar measures 6.75 inches wide by 5.5 inches high. It has a great rural scene with cottages & cows. Lovely.
