This is a horse brass made for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of England in 1953. It measures almost 4 inches high and 3 inches in diameter and is in very good condition. This is one of the best original coronation brasses I have had. A very good portrait. Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate & identify draft horses and are very collectible. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes. Shipping in the US by USPS first class insured with tracking is $5.50.
