This card tray was probably created to commemorate the coronation of H.M. Queen Mary and her husband George V as king of England in 1911. She was the present Queen's grandmother. The portrait is hand painted and signed by the artist although I can't quite make out the signature. It is of white porcelain and measures 6 inches by 9 inches and bears the manufaturer's mark Gemma which is the Schmidt & Co. Porcelain Factory in Czechoslovakia. Other than some very slight wear to the full color portrait, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $9.50.
