This is a lovely addition to the tea table. This crumber was the Victorian's answer to the dustbuster! Crumbs from the table were scraped or brushed into this crumber & all was tidy again. This piece has an ivory handle--with an age split (very normal with ivory of this age) and an engraved silverplated blade and an embossed hilt. The mark reads WW in a shield, WW in a shield again, E in a square, S in a diamond & EP in a shield. Much to my surprise I saw one identical to this in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London our last trip! A novel item to have. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $10.40. |
