This fabulous sterling handled ornate art nouveau knife sharpener was made in England between 1880-1900. It has a 6 sided sharpening blade that was made in Germany but the handle was made in England. The entire piece measures 9 5/8 inches long with the sterling handle measuring 3 5/8 inches long. The lillies that the handle are made up of are absolutely beautiful and finely crafted. The handle is marked with the a W, a lion, sterling and Pat. Applied For. There is some nicking on the blade from use but very little. The handle which is engraved deG is in awesome condition.
