This is a bank checkor cheque drawn to self on 14 Sept, 1901 by John Carver at the Birmongham District & Counties Banking Co. Ltd., Wellington (Salop). The cheque measures 8.75 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and has a lovely aqua colored engraved surface with the bank's seal (not impressed). The cheque is signed on the back John Carver. It is in very good condition, but the ink on the date was smeared at the time it was written--although clearly legible. A nice piece of ephemera & victoriana.
