I bought this blackbird porcelain pie bird in Staffordshire, England at an antique fair. It is also called a pie vent or pie funnel. It measures 4 inches high by 2 inches wide by 1.75 inches deep and has a white painted dot eye. It dates to the I940-1950s & I thought it was cute! It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Pie birds were developed in the 1500s to release steam from a baking pie so the filling didn't boil over. Shipping in the US by USPS Priority Insured with tracking is $7.60.
