This is a wonderful black pottery (sometimes called jackfield glaze) 4-6 cup teapot from England with very pretty hand painted flowers around the shoulders and gold trim. The teapot is unmarked as to maker but says Made In England and number 83 in gold. The teapot measures 6 inches high by 9 inches long and is octagonal having 8 panels to the body. It was made in the 1940-1950s and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks & only minor gold wear. A super piece & very unusual.
