This is a wonderful pair of hand made English victorian solid gold pince nez (means pinch nose, literally) eyeglasses or a lorgnette without the handle. The glasses were made 1880-1890 and have their original oval glass lenses with a correction although I can't tell you for what. The glasses are 2 inches high by 3 inches wide and are very well made--even the adjustment levers are embellished with hand engraving. There is a ring for attaching a silk cord to hang the glasses ready around the neck. The lenses are in very good condition with only one tiny lense chip. They are a wonderful piece of history. Marvelous! Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $9.50.
