This is a wonderful mid victorian hand colored brown transferware or transferware on white ironstone compote made in England 1860-1880s. It is in the aesthetic movement or arts and crafts style, sometimes called Eastlake victorian. The compote, comport or pedestal bowl has no marks but it looks like a Furnivals, England set. It has fabulous framed vignettes as well as foliage and flowers and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. It is a wonderful piece from an important design period. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $16.00. |
