This is a very pretty cream color ceramic pomander or pot pourri holder from England made and with the original foil label, by Sallie Robinson in England in the 1970s. The pomander measures 2.25 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches high and has it's original gold hanging cord and even some pot pourri inside. I found it in Cornwall in southern England and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Pomanders were developed in the 1500s to scent clothing, bedding and closets and to scent a room to disguise the medieval smells of no drains.
