This is a leather strap or martingale of horse brasses or pub brasses we brought home from England recently. It measures 13.75 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and has 3 brasses that are English royalty commemorative brasses: a memorial brass for King Edward VII 1901-1910, an exceptional quality King George VI and Queen Elizabeth coronation brass from 1937--parents of the current Queen Elizabeth II--and a royal wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana brass from 1981. The brasses all are original as dated, but the strap was obviously put together after 1981. Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $10.40.
