Circa: 1937 Condition: very good Size: 31 inches wide by 22 inches high
This is a wonderful royal commemorative flag or tea towel made in England in 1937 for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth later called the Queen Mum who were the parents of the present Queen Elizabeth II. These survivals are rare in great condition like this one. The design is on a thin fabric and is central printed portraits and crown on a Union Jack flag. The flag is in very good condition. There is a very rough hemming on one edge in blue thread obviously by hand which I think gives character the piece. A wonderful historic piece of royalty memorabilia that is very hard to find. So collectible! Shipping in the US by USPS first class insured is $5.50.
