This is a very pretty ribbed and domed ceramic pomander or pot pourri holder from England with the original rubber seal and pot pourri inside. I found it in Worcester, England and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Pomanders were developed in the 1500s to scent clothing, bedding and closets and to scent a room to disguise the medieval smells of no drains. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $7.60.
