Paragon got into trouble by renaming themselves Royal Paragon on the strength of making the souvenir design and earlier Two For Joy for Elizabeth's christening, and in 1931 were allowed the Royal Warrant but had to drop the Royal in their name. This is one of the later pieces with the Royal Warrant mark.
The fruit or sauce bowl or nappy is 1.5 inches high by 5 long by 4.5 wide with a design with the Margaret Rose and 2 parakeets or budgies in hand coloring over transfer with hand applied enamel accents and gold trim. The bowl is in very good +++ condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear but does have a few minor utensil marks. |
