Figural Casserole Mallard Mother Duck And Duckling With Lid Staffordshire 1970s
This is an adorable duck and duckling soup tureen or covered casserole that can be used in serving soup or as a decorator piece in the kitchen.
The charming figural mother and baby duckling casserole or tureen is vintage, circa 1970s, made of ceramic.
The hand applied sponge painted duck, which I think might be a mallard, is nestled on top of a basket-styled bottom and is accompanied by a yellow duckling.
The duck tureen or casserole is marked Staffordshire England on the bottom and measures 8 inches high by 10.5 inches long by 7 inches wide.
It will hold about a quart or so of soup.
Very good +++ used vintage condition with 1 very tiny rim glaze chip, no cracks and has been obviously gently used and cherished.
Such a cute item for your French Country kitchen, and would also fit in with Farmhouse/Country/Ranch House home décor, and perfect for Easter dinner.A very cute way to serve the stuffing or mashed potatoes.
