Mug King George V 1935 Silver Jubilee Gibsons Tankard Color Graphics As Is
This is a tankard or large mug manufactured by Gibson's Pottery, England in 1935 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary who were the grandparents of the present Queen Elizabeth II.
The tankard measures 4.5 inches high by 4.5 in diameter. The really exceptional sepia portraits of the king and queen are surrounded by color flags and their seal on the back with gold trim.
The mug or tankard is in good + condition with no chips and an exceptional set of graphics, but there are 2 tight old hairlines from the top and gold trim wear. A neat bit of history and royal memorabilia.
