This is a horse brass or pub brass featuring the design of a pirate and the name Jamaica Inn which is a famous pirate and smuggling inn in Cornwall, England made more universally famous in the 1930s by the novel of the same name by Daphne DuMaurier.

There have been several movie versions of the book, most recently being a TV mini series starring Jessica Brown Findlay who played Lady Sibyl in Downton Abbey.

The horse brass dates 1930-1940s and 3.5 inches high by 3 inches wide.
