This horse brass or souvenir brass made in 1936 to commemorate the ascencion to the throne of Edward VIII who was to be crowned in 1937 but abdicated instead to his brother who was crowned as King George VI. 

 The royalty horse brass measures 3.75 inches high by 3 inches wide.

The  cast royal commemorative souvenir horse brass is in very good +++ used vintage condition, and is extremely well made brass with excellent definition and detail.

Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible.

In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes, or used as Christmas tree ornaments.
