This is a Monticello, Virginia blue transferware or transfer ware commemorative 9.75 inch dinner plate manufactured by the Olde English Staffordshire Ware Company, a division of Ridgways, England for John H. Roth and Co. USA between 1933-1956.

This vintage ironstone plate was made to commemorate Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's plantation in Virginia.

The historic American transferware plate is a lovely pattern, very intricate especially the flower and fruit border.

The plate is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restorations and would be a wonderfully decorative addition to dining table or for display.
