This is a square ceramic butter pat made to be sold in Victoria, B. C. Canada for the coronation in 1953 of Queen Elizabeth II of England.

The 4 inch square dish features the Anthony Armstrong-Jones lovely photograph of Queen Elizabeth for the coronation which is one of my favorites.

The square butter pat, which can also be used as a teabag caddy, has besides metallic gold trim the words Victoria, BC at the top and Stelck's at the bottom.

I know that the name Stelck is prominent in Victoria.

The butter dish was made by Lancaster and Sandland, England and has the impressed mark of Butter 562.

The butter pat or tea bag holder is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear.

A wonderful souvenir.
