Horse Brass England William The Conqueror Alfred The Great 1900 Harness Ornament
This is an outstanding antique horse brass or pub brass depicting a either William The Conqueror or Alfred The great from the Edwardian era 1900-1910.
The extremely well made cast horse brass features one of the 2 historic figures although my research could not pin point the identity and it is not in any of the horse brass society publications, so it is rare.
The horse brass has exceedingly fine detail, which is usual for older brasses, and it is cast rather than stamped. It is also heavier than the usual brasses.
The horse brass measures 4 inches high by 3 inches wide.
This came from an old martingale full of brasses related to royalty. How about a horse brass Christmas tree?
