King Edward VII Horse Brass Crowned 1902 Harness Ornament 1930s Royalty
SKU: 12004-215
This horse brass or souvenir pub brass made in the 1930s to commemorate King Edward VII being crowned in 1902. It was probably reissued when the next king was crowned.
The royal commemorative souvenir brass is in very good ++ used vintage condition, but the casting was imperfect at the bottom in one area, otherwise a very well made brass with good definition.
The royalty horse brass measures 3 inches high by 3 wide.
Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible.
In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes, or used as Christmas tree ornaments.
