This is a teacup trio in bone china made to commemorate the coronation of King George VI and Elizabeth, parents of the current Queen Elizabeth II, in 1937 by Shelley china of England.
The teacup trio consists of a cup and saucer in the Regent shape with a matching plate number 520.
The cup is 2.75 inches high, the saucer is 5.5 in diameter and the plate is 7 inches in diameter.
The design features sepia portraits of the king, queen with the royal princesses, Elizabeth and Margaret on the back.
The portraits is signed Copyright Van Dyck who seems to have been the royal photographer at the time.
The teacup trio is in very excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restorations.
A great royal commemorative item as well as a great addition to any Shelley collection.
