Flow Blue Transfer Aesthetic Movement Plate Ocean Scenes 1890s
This is an antique English Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design flow blue transferware plate or charger made by Bates and Bennett, England between 1891-1895.
The plate measures 10.5 inches in diameter and features a vignette of a sailing ship with shells and sea weed.
The pattern name on the back was partially folded so I can read Ocean but not the rest.
The plate is in in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and barely any sign of use at all.
A wonderful example of Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design.
