This is a mid Victorian rarely seen mulberry transfer or transferware luncheon plate made by John Wedge Wood between 1841 and 1860 in the Milesian pattern, an Italian landscape design supposed to represent Milan, Italy.
The ironstone mulberry transferware plate 8.5 inches in diameter.
The plate is in near mint used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear with only very manufacturing flaws liked popped glaze bubbles on the reverse.
Pretty good for an over 150 year old plate!
Very collectible and a wonderfully decorative plate with many uses.
