This is a wonderful Wedgwood, England antique Victorian era jasper or jasperware biscuit jar, biscuit barrel, cracker jar or cookie jar made from 1891-1898.
The biscuit jar is of dark cobalt blue jasperware dip with classical design called Sacrifice Figures and silverplated fittings with a fancy finial and engraved floral design lid marked EPNS J D and CO, Ltd. for Johnson, Durban & Company, Birmingham, England, and the code J1326.
The biscuit jar measures 5 inches in diameter by 8.25 inches high with handle 6 inches high without the handle.
The marks are WEDGWOOD and ENGLAND with the letter J.
The jasper barrel is in very good +++ used vintage condition overall with no chips, cracks or restorations, excellent condition inside and only in need of some cleaning on the outside.
