Mantle Clock Antique Waterbury Chiming -
This is Waterbury at it's best. This clock was manufactured around 1900 and has 6 flat faux marble pillars that are mottled green, red, brown and blacks in muted tones. Each pillar is capped & footed in gilt. Underneath the face is a gilt metal applied frieze approximately 10 inches long. The feet and other trimmings are gilt as well. The mechanics of the clock are all original, keep perfect time and are typical of the high quality of Waterbury pieces. It chimes on the hour and half hour. There is a 2 inch repaired crack in the top edge of the ebonized wood case that is not a serious flaw. The clock measures 12.5 inches by 17.5 inches. A lovely piece with a particularly attractive chime.

Art Deco English Mantle Clock -
This wooden cased clock is in the art deco style which dates it from 1910 to 1930's. There is no manufacturer's name on it but it is a German movement, and I love the styling. We brought it back from England this trip from the Royal City of Sutton Coldfield. It measures 12 3/16 inches wide by 8 7/8 inches high by 5 3/4 inches deep. It has a key wind movement and keeps very good time. The case was professionally refinished some years ago and is in excellent condition except for a tiny crack on one leg at the back of the clock. It has a westminster face with 3 winding holes but it is not a westminster movement although it probably was at one time. An altogether lovely clock.
