This is sweet little mottoware or motto ware or Torquay ware sugar bowl (pun intended) measuring 2 inches high and 3.5 inches in diameter. It bears the motto "Sweeten To Your Liking" and is unmarked. It is probably Devon Potteries and dates from the 1940-1950s. It has the traditional cottage and a dot decoration. It is in good condition, but there is a slight tight hairline at the bottom of the spoon notch. A very cute piece. This famous and fun pottery has been manufactured in the south of England from the 1870's until the factories closed in the 1960's.
