This nifty melon tester would look brilliant on your desk used as a letter opener! Or to test melons--although I don't know how you do it. I always smell them. It measures 5 inches long when closed and 9.25 inches long when open. It has a faux mother of pearl handle & is marked Sabre Stainless Japan. It is in good condition. The blade has a couple of imperfections but that's nothing serious. A great desk piece. It dates from the 1930's-1940's. Shipping in the US by USPS first class insured with tracking is $5.50.
