This is a lovely 3 piece handpainted teaset consisting of 2 cup teapot, cream jug & lidded sugar bowl made about 1890-1900 when hand painting was a genteel pastime. The floral decoration--strawberry flowers--is beautifully painted. Someone with a lot of talent. I belive these are probably Limoges blanks. The marks are the numbers incised underglaze of 2255 & 2257 and the signature of Maysey or Maysen. The teapot measures 6.5 inches long by 3 inches high by 5 inches in diameter. The set is in very good condition with very slight gold wear. A beautiful set. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $14.40.
