This is a horse brass or pub brass featuring a well shaped horse head in a horseshoe. I brought it back from England. It measures 3.5 inches and is a newer brass from the 1990s. Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate & identify draft horses and are very collectible. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes.
