This is a great victorian gold metal bar pin with a thistle, the symbol of Scotland and a round imitation amethyst. I found the pin in England & thought it was cute. The brooch measures 2 inches long by just over .5 inches high. It has a leaf engraved victorian hook-type closure and the letter R on the pin. The pin dates to @1900 and is in very good condition.
