This is a boxed commemorative copper ingot made for the centennial celebration of the gift of the Statue of Liberty to New York from France 1886-1986. The ingot is 2.5 millimeters (@3/32 inch) thick which is the thickness of the original copper sheets that make up the statue. It is stamped with the statue's face. The ingot measures 2 inches high by 1 inch wide. The ingot was commissioned by the Statue of Liberty Center, Liberty Island New York. A fun historical piece and very collectible.
