This is a wonderful beaded purse with the engraved mark Made In France on the gold plated molded brass frame. The purse measures 8.75 inches from the top of the frame to the fringe ends and is 5.5 inches high. The purse was made 1900-1920s is a fancy art deco design in cut steel, amber & champagne beads. The chain of ridged curb links measures 16 inches long. There is a push button catch mechanism that is tight and works well. The interior silk lining has rotted. There is a metal closure coin purse sewn in the purse. The only flaws are 1 tiny area of beads missing .25 inches in diameter, 5 beaded fringes missing and a bit of the twisted strands of gold beads on the front that attach the bag to the frame.
