This is a great art deco shape normal size bone china tea cup & saucer by an unknown maker commemorating the coronation of King George VI & Elizabeth (the present Queen Elizabeth II's parents) on May 12, 1937. The cup has sepia portraits of the family including the princesses--Elizabeth & Margaret--and gold trim with the commemoration on the back & on the saucer as well. This design is identical in every way to a Royal Albert set made at the same time. The cup measures just under 3 inches high and the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter. The cup & saucer are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restorations & no gold loss. A great set. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $8.50.
