This lovely blue & white pottery cream & sugar set is sometimes called Devon ware and is a close kin to Torquay Devon, England mottoware. It has the incised name of a place--in this case Whitley Bay. The process is sometimes called scrafito or sgraphito. It is approximately 2.5 inches high and is in good condition the only flaw being a small tight hairline in the creamer that doesn't go through to the exterier. See photo. These sets are very collectible as well as decorative. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $9.50.
