This is a great vintage tea caddy spoon I brought home from England. The tea caddy spoon is made of brass & was made by Peerless, England in the 1920-1930s. The tea caddy spoon measures 4.25 inches long by 2.25 inches wide and features a sailing ship finial & a man, windmill & house in the bowl. This shovel shaped tea caddy spoon is silverplated and has an enamel shield finial for Blackpool. It's more genteel! The plate has worn in spots, but the enamel is in great condition. Tea caddy spoons were small spoons or scoops popularized by the victorians to lock inside a tea caddy or tea canister with the precious & expensive tea they were used to scoop. It is in very good condition with the only flaw I can see a tendency for the handle to be off vertical. Shipping in the US by USPS First class insured with tracking is $5.50.
