This is a cute sterling silver salt spoon made from a silver three penny bit with the face of King George V that has been hammered into a bowl with a sterling silver barley twist handle added. The three penny bits (we brought home 8 of these spoons from our last English buying trip) date from 1915-1922 and were made with genuine antique coins by a silversmith we deal with in Covent Garden, London England. The spoon measures 2.25 inches long bowl is .6 in diameter and is in excellent, mint condition. They are so cute and an elegant and historic addition to your open salt on the tea table.
