This is a lovely silverplate basket on a pedestal from England that measures 7 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches high. It is a calling card, candy, cake or bon bon basket. It is marked with a hand, M and London which probably means M. Hand, London. It dates to 1900-1910. The cake or card basket has a raised grape border, a mesh basket and a wreath with a ribbon applied to the center of the interior. A very elegant piece. |
