Circa: 1972 Condition: used Size: 3 inches high by 2.15 inches in diameter Color: white, black, blue Country of Origin: Denmark Manufacturer: Royal Copenhagen
This is a commemorative mug made by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark in 1972. The design of rings was designed by artist Bodil Buch. The mug measures 3 inches high by 2.15 inches in diameter and is made of faience, a type of ironstone. The mug is in veru good +++ condition with the only flaw being a slight dent and discoloration on the base rim under glaze made during manufacture. A very collectible mug in a design that reminds me of the Olympic rings. 1972 was the Olympic Games in mUnich, Germany but I don't know if that is what influenced the artist. |
