This is a very fine antique English victorian hankie or handkerchief made hand made in England or Ireland of fine Irish lawn made in the 1890s. The handkerchief measures 11 inches square, has a 1 inch border of doubled fine netting, french hemstitch seams and a border decoration of faggotting. The hankie is in very good ++ condition with one small area where the netting has come loose and one small brown stain. A lovely victorian accessory.
