This is a very fine antique English hankie or handkerchief made hand made in England of cotton lawn made in the 1900-1920s. The handkerchief measures 14 inches by 15 inches, has rolled and hand stitched hems and a hand embroidered flower motif in one corner that has insets of even finer lawn in the petals of the flower in very delicate work. The hankie is in very good ++ condition with no tears, stains or broken stitches but there is slight surface soiling in several areas. A lovely accessory and wonderful example of the needle woman's skill.
