This is a pair of antique portrait buttons with celluloid covers, metal backs and metal shanks made in England 1900-1920. The buttons each measure .5 inches in diameter and feature the lithograph portraits of a young man in 18th century dress with powdered wigs. The both buttons have some cracking in the celluloid covers as seen in the photo. A very rare and collectible type of button.
